Privacy: We respect your privacy and will not share any of your personal information.

Communications: Roaring Memories Inn is the creation of Scott and Lisa. They welcome your conversation anytime and if they can make your stay more comfortable or if you have any concerns please let them know.

Communication prior to or after your arrival is very important to us. Please keep the Inn’s numbers handy. They are: 816-507-9943 or 913-940-1127.

Your Arrival & Departure: • Check-in: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm For arrivals before 4:00 pm – most special accommodations can be made with advance notice. Please notify us if you plan on arriving after 6:00 pm. • Check-out: 11:00 am.  We do our best to greet every guest for a quick “tour” of our property.

Payment and Cancellations: Guests are responsible for full payment of their reservation. Use our convenient online PayPal for your reservation payment at time of booking.  There is also a $500 deposit which is fully refundable if there are no damages.

Cancellations from the time the reservation is made up to fourteen (14) days prior to the date of your reservation are subject to a $50 handling fee. • Cancellations with notice of thirteen (13) days or less prior to the date of your reservation results in a 100% charge of the room rate for all dates cancelled. • Same day cancellations and “no-show” reservations will be charged at 100% of the room rate.

Parking:  There is on site parking in the driveway or street side for your convenience.

DAMAGE AND CLEANING ISSUES: Any damage or cleaning issues noticed upon arrival should be reported to Roaring Memories Inn immediately. All general maintenance issues should also be reported so they can be addressed quickly. You will not incur any additional charges if the following items are adhered to:

  1. No damage is done to the unit or its content including the linens.
  2. No items are missing upon the inventory check.
  3. All debris, garbage and discards are placed in proper containers.
  4. All soiled dishes are rinsed and placed in the sink.
  5. There was no exceeding the maximum occupancy of the unit.
  6. There was no smoking or evidence of smoking.
  7. Unit is left in neat condition with no furniture misplaced.

If additional labor hours are required to clean the home due to your use you will be charged an additional fee commensurate with the hours required to clean.  Guests are responsible for all damages to the property.

EVENTS: Our homes are not permitted to hold events. Only the guests that are registered will be allowed in the Inn.

AGE RESTRICTION: All renters must be over the age of 25, unless it is a child accompanied by a parent. If a guest is found to have falsified their reservation in any way, we reserve the right to evict the guest, cancel their reservation and retain ALL DEPOSITS PAID TO THAT POINT.

NO SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in any of our units. A $500 fee will be charged if evidence is found in your home.

SEVERE WEATHER: We do not refund rents or deposits lost due to cancelled or shortened stays because of weather. Departures due to inclement weather do no warrant refund of rent or deposit.

There are no open flames allowed for the safety of our guests and we ask that there are no flower petals used as they can cause staining to items.


We are excited if you have brought your pet on vacation and we are sure that you will have a wonderful time here in beautiful Excelsior Springs.

We require your signature stating that you agree to abide by the following guidelines during your stay:

My pet is not aggressive; up to date with vaccinations and is well socialized with other animals and with other people.

My pet is free of ticks and fleas.

My pet will be on a leash and under my control when outside.  Exception, fenced backyard.

I will clean up after my pet and dispose of any waste in the dumpster located on the side of the house.

I will notify the management of any pet “accidents” immediately and request special cleaning efforts.

I will clean off my pet if he/she is wet or dirty using the pet towels provided before letting them in.

I will assume financial responsibility for any damage caused by my pet during my stay.

My pet will always be with me under my care. If I leave my pet unattended in the Inn, I will assume financial responsibility for any damage that occurs.

Special requests/services

We want to be your home away from home.  Please indicate in the special request section snack and beverage preference so you may have a proper welcome.  Additionally, CPR certified nannies and pet sitters are available for additional fees.
